Rumors are true

Mizu's eyes were wide with the prospect of having the chance to see the forest of death. She was terrified, but she had heard from two drunken men about the forest of death and it was the closest to the afterlife. She wanted to know about it and of course she wanted to see it before Mei even had the chance of knowing about it .Being an ambassador was hard but she loved the prospect of traveling.

"I wonder...." she said looking around.

Itachi sat up in a tree, watching for Sora, who had been supposed to meet him here. He prepared to leap down upon seeing movement, but froze when he saw that it was not at all who he thought it was. In fact, he'd never seen this girl before in his life. He narrowed his eyes and watched her silently.

She looked around and stopped hearing a branch move. She looked at the tree and threw a Shuriken towards it.

"Come out, whoever you are" she said slightly trembling.

He cursed his eagerness leave the tree and frowned. The girl knew he was there, but he didn't think she could cause him much harm. So, with a sigh, he lept down and stood before her, his eyes cold and blank.

She looked at his eyes and froze. She looked just like the one that had intercepted the Kage summit.

"Uchiha, what are you doing here" she asked standing in her fighting position.

Not only was he an uchiha but also an Akatsuki, and that frightened her.

Itachi looked at her in confusion. "How do you know my surname, girl?"

She looked at him showing how insulted she was at being called kid.

"An Uchiha is easily spottable, plus you look like him" she said.

"True enough, but by him, who are you referring to?" Itachi knew well enough who she was referring to, he just wanted her to confirm it.

She looked at him and glared.

'The one that you couldn't kill. Uchiha Sasuke"she said.

Itachi smirked slightly. "You've learned the Leaf village's stories well, little Kiri nin. But why are you here in the first place?"

She crossed her arms in a defensive position.

"I could ask you the same thing" she said "Scheming, or waiting for someone"

"You're not of this land, why does it matter to you?" Itachi was impressed that the younger girl stood up to him so easily.

She raised her brow.

"We are allied to Konoha and Konoha's business is my sister's and my business. But no matter, you didn't answer the question"

She smirked.

"Who are you waiting for?" she repeated.

"And how do you know I'm waiting for someone? I could be doing something else." he replied. "And I don't believe I'm obliged to answer your questions, child."

She glared.

"First of all I am not a child and secondly if you aren't waiting for someone you're scheming. So just spill it Uchiha" she said.

She didn't want to use force because she didn't want to fight him at all, he was a missing nin after all and used to be an amazing shinobi for Konoha.

"And are you going to make me if I don't?" He questioned, growing bored.

She stopped for a moment.

Would I?

She nodded some what shaky.

"I will Uchiha Itachi" she said.

Her hand began to glow of chakra.

"Is that really wise?" he muttered icily, activating his sharingan.

She shrugged.

"It might not be, but it's my job as a kunoichi to fight, even to the death" she said.


She bit her lip and waited for his attack.

"As you wish." he caught the girl's gaze with his own, preparing to use his Tsukuyomi. Foolish girl... didn't even know enough not to meet my eyes."

She took in a shaky breath and placed her foot firmly on the group grouping her two Kekkei Genkai.

May Kami be with me she thought.

She couldn't really fight him to kill him, probably he'd kill her. But she knew what she had to do. She had a plan to just shake him enough for her escape.

"Lava bomb!" she yelled and began to throw it at his direction.

The bomb hit Itachi square in the chest... except it was no longer Itachi. Where he had once stood, a flock of crows scattered in all directions. Itachi himself materialized shortly after behind Mizu, pressing a kunai to her throat. "Give up, girl."

She tensed and then she had a plan.

"Hydration Technique" she whispered.

Her whole body turned to water and she slid away. A few feet away she turned back to her old self.

"Water Clone Technique" she said and ten of her appeared.

Itachi remained where he stood, looking in boredom around at the clones. "Impressive. But what can you do with them?"

She and her clones jumped up in the trees.

"Hide" all of them said at once "Lava bombs" they all said and bombs began to fall everywhere around him.
