Frightful Meeting

She was breathing in heavily as she laid there beside him. All his movement had shaken her up and got her a few cuts that she didn't need. She heard him move, but she was too hurt to. Her body was aching and she simply bit her bottom lip and waited for it to dim.

He stood up slowly, wincing again. The damage wasn't severe, he noted as he looked himself over, but he would certainly be sore for a while.

She closed her eyes and cursed at herself repeatedly at how their competition had lead them to both be scratched up. She lifted herself gingerly and let out a moan of pain.

He looked down at her upon hearing her express her discomfort, scowling.
"This is your fault!" he snarled.

She opened her eyes and she immediately growled at him for him snapping.

"Who was the asshole mocking me?"

"Who was the child that jumped on my back?" he retorted angrily.

She bit back a groan as she sat up too quickly, but she wasn't going to take this from him.

"Who was the asshole who wasn't strong enough?!" she hissed.

He scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"You fool; you can't jump on someone running on uneven terrain! You threw off my balance!"

She leaned forward and flicked his nose angrily, too tired to hit him.

"You wouldn't stop!" she screamed.

He jerked back and scowled at her, swatting her hand away.
"Ever heard of asking?" he snapped.

She snickered and mimicked his phrase back at him.

"Ever heard of asking?" she sneered. "Are you kidding me?! You never ever think of anyone but yourself!"

He had had just about enough of her for one day; he was angry and in pain, and he really couldn't take anymore.
"Dammit, shut up!" he yelled, his Sharingan flashing.

She closed her eyes immediately and despite her body, her body tightened. She shuddered and knew she had gone too far.

"Sleep then..." he grumbled, watching as the effects took over her. He sighed and slumped back against a tree, closing his eyes for a moment. He'd never dreamed this was going to be so stressful.

Her eyes slowly fluttered closed and she laid there on the ground.

He sighed and stooped over, picking her up. It probably hadn't been the best idea to knock her out, but he was very short of temper. He began to move again, thinking perhaps that travel would be a bit quicker this way at least.

Her head lolled from side to side till it relaxed against the crook of his neck. Her whole body was covered in scrapes and now the blood had dried making her look pitiful.

He was right in his assumption; his travel time was cut by half at least, and he'd nearly reached the point he'd wanted to by noon. He reached a sheltered point in the forest and set her against a tree trunk, stretching out as he stopped for a break.

Once she gained consciousness, she looked around looking confused and lost. Where was she? She didn't want to move; her body ached and the scratches had dirt and would be infected if she didn't clean them up.

Uchiha she thought angrily.

She got up despite her refusal, and she winced. Kami it hurt! She cracked her back and walked languidly towards the woods. Knowing Uchiha, he'd go by water, because water lead to villages and beside water also were best places to inhabit.

He had located a stream, and was crouched by it, refilling his canteen and washing off cuts and scraps from the fall. He scooped up handfuls of water and dumped them on each abrasion, wincing slightly as he pried little bits of grit out from the path.

She had no idea that he was there. The moment that she saw the stream, she sat down awkwardly towards the side. She slipped off her sandals and scrolled up her pants to allow herself to wash it. She bit her bottom lip as she washed off the dirt off of her scars.

Even if she had not noticed him, he noticed her as soon as she came into the area. He watched her for a moment as she did what he had just finished doing, then looked back towards the water moodily.

She shrugged off her shirt leaving her in her mesh shirt with her wrappings still under. She figured that she was still in dirty clothing. She removed her pants as well leaving her in her rolled up tights.

As she walked into the stream she began to wipe off not only the dirt on her scabs and cuts, but washing her clothing that were covered in dirt from the fall.

"Stupid Uchiha" she growled to herself.

He had expected her to have noticed him by now, but as she did not, he decided that he would force her to. He picked up a small, flat stone from the river bank and skipped it across the water surface in her direction.

She heard the splats and glared as soon as she saw him. That bastard.

"I told you to stop doing that! I hate you Sharingan" she growled as she threw her cleaned clothes over the rock.
