Frightful Meeting

She twitched at the word "Shorty" and she did something that she hadn't done since...well since they had rolled on the floor.

She stopped walking and took a few steps back and winked before jumping and clinging on him to knock him off balance.

He made a small "oof" sound as she hit his back, having not been prepared for her to jump on him, and stumbled slightly.
"Not again..." he groaned.

She let out a smile, a gleeful one, and clung to him tightly, by wrapping her arms around his neck and around his waist.

"Yes again" she said. "Now mush!"

He rolled his eyes and sighed, wondering just why he was letting her get away with this.
"Alright... but you better have a damn good grip." he mumbled, before taking off like a shot.

She was surprised that he was actually going. She clung to him even tighter and let out a small laugh as she felt her wind on her face.

He couldn't hold back a tiny smile at the sound of her laugh. Acting like this reminded him of a time years ago, before he'd left Konoha and was still part of Team 7.

She clung to him tightly, especially over the jumps he was taking over the bumps in the road. She hadn't had this much fun since....since she was a child. Since before she knew she wanted to be a kunoichi.

Her hair slipped from her ponytail that surprised her. Still she clung tightly and leaned forward trying to talk to him clearer.

"I thought you were faster than this" she teased.

She wanted to feel the wind in her hair even more.

He glanced back at her and smirked.
"Hold on, little Kiri." he said, before shooting off at a break-neck speed.

She was going to retort his comment, that she in fact was not little. Little made her think of a child, something she most certainly was not! Nonetheless her little comment had to wait, because the moment that he hit his main speed she couldn't say a thing but a squeak.

Her legs tightened even more around his waist, her arms around his shoulders clinging for dear life. Despite her heart hammering against her chest, she did feel it, she felt the wind in her hair. The cold chilly air was refreshing and she found herself enjoying this dangerous moment.

It felt good to run, even if he was carrying someone. But, even though Sasuke was a shinobi, he was human as well, and eventually, he had to slow down. He came to an abrupt halt, however, rather than slowing down gradually, to give Mizu a little jolt.

She was laughing lightly now getting used to it, but soon she felt the air hitting her face less. She was going to tell him to stop, that is until he did it without warning. Her body sprung forward towards his, and she squeaked once more before she clung.

Her head was laying on his shoulders and she whispered.

"This ride was fun"

"And now you can't complain ever again." he said, kneeling slightly so she could slide off.

She smiled and immediately slid off of him and onto the ground. Her legs wobbled slightly after having clung to him for long.

"I can't promise you I won't" she teased softly.

Her cheeks were flushed from the wind, that's what she told herself.

He gave her his classic smirk and turned, ready to continue onward.
"The sun will set soon." he noted, looking to the west.
"We can make the next village by nightfall if we move quickly."

She walked alongside him and looked at the sunset. That explained the chilly breeze that she had felt on her face.

"What, want me to carry you on my back now?" she said amused. "I think I can do that...but we might reach the village next year" she said.

She nudged his shoulder expecting him to show her the way.

He shook his head and laughed quietly.
"Right; you carrying me. That would go well." he snorted.

She blushed seeing him laugh. She felt like it was an accomplishment and she vowed to do that more often.

"You never know" she said shrugging. "Now show me the way Sasu-kun"

She hoped he wouldn't take offense to her nicknaming him.

He glanced at her, not sure whether or not he liked the nickname, but shrugged it off and continued on.
"There, can you see?" he said, pointing to a spot just over the hill., where the rooftops of a village were just coming into view "We're nearly there."

She was surprised that he didn't flinch or show disgust over anything. She never mentioned it either, silent acceptance, she didn't mind it.

"Does that mean I get a bed?" she asked brightly.

She knew that she was his hostage and for some reason both had seemed to forget that.

"Hn... I guess, if you can behave yourself."
He glanced sideways at her, sneering slightly. "I know that's a challenge for you."

She wrinkled her nose and frowned deeply.

"You are such a teme!" she sneered.

He shrugged.
"I rest my case."

"Kuso" she cursed and walked ahead of him.

They were having such a good time, but no, he just had to muck it up.

"You ruin everything" she snapped and huffed.

He sighed and rolled his eyes; couldn't she take a joke?
"Easy Hime, I was just teasing."

She raised her brow and placed her hand on her hip waiting for him.

"Did you just call me princess?" she asked in a surprised tone.
