Frightful Meeting

"Tch." he scoffed, glancing over at her and shaking his head in amusement.
"Usually when someone smiles, they're happy about something. I haven't had much to be happy about lately."

She shrugged and walked along side him, she saw a glimmer of amusement, and she took some pride in that she admitted to herself.

"Not always. Some fake it, some force it, and as for me, well usually I have a reason to smile" she said shrugging. "And I was merely making an observation"

"This is true, but I generally prefer to not be fake, if possible." he admitted, now looking back ahead.

She shrugged.

"Just saying" she said "That scowl just dampens everything"

"Tch, I guess you'll have to look at the scenery then, if you find my expression so depressing." he muttered.

She let out a chuckle taking it as a joke and shrugged.

"I don't like silence" she mumbled.

"I find it relaxing." he responded.
"I can think better when it's quiet; not to mention silence isn't annoying."

She shook her head disagreeing with him one hundred percent.

"I can't. It makes me uncomfortable when there's someone beside. It gives me this..I need to fill up the silence, but I try not to chatter too much. I only accept silence when alone, even then though I prefer filling it with anything" she murmured.

"It's different for everyone, depending on their experiences." he shrugged. It actually surprised him that he was having such a long conversation with her; it was very abnormal.

It seems that she had subconsciously thought of the same thing as well. Just when had this occurred? She blinked and looked at him allowing her bemused expression to show.

"This is foreign isn't it" she murmured not making it a question but a clear statement.

He looked over at her, surprised by how she voiced exactly what he'd been thinking, and nodded.
"Very much so."

She nodded. It was weird, they had these moments...well this moment that made them seem almost like acquaintances, far beyond the "captive" "captor" relationship; it was being all mucked up and she didn't mind. She felt more comfortable and as weird as it is, she could not help but let out a bit of her personality out, at least the bit of her personality that wasn't snarling and aggressive.

"I can end this if you'd like" she said smirking.

A smirk slowly formed on his face as well, and he stopped walking for a moment to hear what she had to say.
"Oh?"

She shrugged and ignored the smile tugging on her face.

"I mean I can" she said as she walked around him "I can insult you" she continued circling around him "trip you" she smiled and continued not leaving his gaze "most likely annoy you"

"Tch." he scoffed watching her circle him in mild amusement.
"I don't doubt all that for one second."

She stopped circling him after hearing his comment and his tone brought a surprised reaction out of her. She laughed. A small giggle turned into genuine laughter and she covered her mouth trying to regain her composer, and only succeeded with a grin.

He watched her for a moment, before shaking his head at her silliness.
"You might just be crazy." he muttered, smirking slightly.

Her eyes shined and she shrugged, a grin not hidden at all.

" Well, I guess you have to be a little crazy to survive in this world" she replied winking.

"Most likely." he agreed. "Doesn't seem like you mind too much though."

She shook her head.

"Well... being sane is boring, I'd rather be a little off my noggin' " she said.

She looked at him and wrinkled her nose in thought.

"Like this... we've probably gone insane, that's why we're actually getting along"

"That's possibly the most sensible thing I've heard you say this entire time!" he taunted. But then he laughed, not sneered, not scoffed, but actually laughed.

She was surprised that he actually laughed, it was... well, like music. She decided to ignore the feeling she felt, like a tug in her stomach and instead commented.

"Don't tease me" she said and slapped his arm softly.

She felt herself flush slightly at her action, , and simply looked away, a small smile subconsciously on her expression.

He smirked and bumped her lightly with his elbow in retaliation.
"I'll do what I want; what are you going to do about it?"

She was surprised by his slight nudge making her jump slightly. She looked at him from the corner of her eye and smirked.

"I'll tell you what I'll do" she said poking his side with her elbow (taking advantage of their height differences).

"I'll maul you" she added with a wink.

He snorted and looked at her disbelievingly.
"You?" he looked her up and down and chuckled.
"Try it shorty."
