Frightful Meeting

She rolled her eyes and let out a smirk.

"That's sweet Uchiha sweet, that touched my heart" she said in a deadpanned tone. "But believe it or not I can heal myself"

She looked at her hands and murmured:

"Mystical Palm Technique"

As she released some chakra, her hands healed slightly, leaving her hands in a light red color and slight irritation.

He took on a look of mild surprise, but recovered quickly.
"Good; seems they trained you something worthwhile."

She lifted her brow. It was interesting how he easily hid his emotions and expressions.

"Well Konoha had to be good for something" she replied.

She had forgotten that he originated from there and she had slipped up.

He surveyed her, then nodded curtly.
"It was good for something, once."

She then felt the awkward silence. Funny enough, despite their positions as captor and the victim, they never really had an awkward moment till now.

"Sorry" she blurted out as a reflex.

He shrugged and waved off her apology.
"It doesn't matter now. Konoha isn't my home anymore."

She nodded and rubbed her arm uncomfortably.

"I'm such an idiot aren't I?" she said softly.

She figured that she wouldn't mind being insulted if it meant that they could avoid this topic all together.

He'd begun to walk, but paused and looked back over his shoulder at her as she said this.
"You're not as bad as some of the girls I've met." he muttered, smiling slightly before walking on.

She couldn't help but flush slightly as she heard him and she let out a shy smile.

"H-hey! Thanks" she said softly.

Soon she found herself following him, wondering just how dysfunctional they were.

Her chortled softly at her reaction and continued onwards, feeling better now that there wasn't anything preventing them from traveling. It would still take an hour or so more to reach their destination, and the smoother it all went, the better.

She wondered just where they were heading, but she found herself simply picking up her things and packing them once more, to get ready to travel. She picked up her bag and sighed.

"Where are we going?" she asked.

"A village north of here," he responded.
"I need to purchase a few things there before we go any further."

She nodded and felt that she needed to know a little more.

"And....and...where are you taking me after?" she asked.

He didn't look at her to answer, not wanting to spoil the peace already.
"I'm not certain yet."

She sighed and walked beside him, deciding to simply stay quiet and not start another fight and simply said.

"I see"

He said nothing more, but continued to walk in silence. He still hadn't decided what he was going to do with her; for the time being, he would simply keep her with him to travel.

She sighed and walked alongside him. He was such an enigma she told herself many times but she preferred the silence over the yelling and the bruises. She decided that while he was distracted, she might as well study him.

She knew he was good looking, after all she wasn't blind, but often times she forgot, simply by the scowl that was always on his face. He was always so serious, and so frustrating, but still good looking. Kami knows how many times her sister had told her this.

He continued on, aware that she was looking at him every now and again, but thinking nothing of it. He was taking this time to enjoy the silence of the forest and think things over, as it was easy for him to focus without interruption here.

She wrinkled her nose wondering when didn't he smile. It looked like he had swallowed a lemon. She let out a small smirk at that, it fit, it definitely fit. She wondered what he was thinking about too, was it all depressing? She wondered that briefly as she stared at his face.

Over and over again he went through his plan of action in his mind, making adjustments here and there until he was satisfied. Now not having anything to focus on, he couldn't help but be a bit bothered by the constant glances he was getting from Mizu.
"Is there a problem?" he muttered, looking over at her.

She blinked a few times and shook her head looking away from him.

"No just thinking" she said simply not wanting to say anything else/

He nodded wordlessly and looked back to the trail ahead of them.
"I have always found travel a good time to think."

She hummed showing her agreement before speaking once more.

"Yes, and while I don't appreciate the quiet so much, it does leave me with my thoughts." she murmured.

"And what are you thinking of?" he questioned idly.

She bit her bottom lip and her mind was reeling with lies that she could say. Problem was she was a horrible liar and so she decided to play it cool.

"I was looking at your features and thinking how it was a shame you always scowl. You should smile more"
